Lunch today


LAMB CURRY.  Home made, with meat, onions, tomato, red pepper etc  (and a side of ciabatta bread).

Not bad at all!



As I eat Zion pretends to sleep, but his ears and nose are alert in the hope that I will drop a piece of  the lamb to the floor.

I didn't do so, neither by accident, nor "accidentally on design".

Poor deprived boy! 😏

Shepherd's pie:  lunch for tomorrow, and to share with friends.


PLEASE NOTE  (and this is terribly important!) 😉

(1) It is Shepherd's Pie, NOT Shepard's Pie.  

(2) If it is made with beef rather than with lamb, it is Cottage Pie, not Shepherd's Pie.

So There!

(3)  The best Cottage/Shepherd's pies were made by skillful and frugal mothers of my youth, using the minced (ground) Beef or Lamb,  leftover from the Sunday meal.  They were smart those woman were!
