Povey Prattle

  Florida has some lovely "developments" .  This is Glen Oaks Ridge, Sarasota where I live. Florida has flies in the ointment chief of which is our Governor Ron De (ath) Santis

  The wedding was at St. Stephen's Parish, Pittsfield, MA At the wedding there I would promote the Janitor to Sexton, put him in a Black Cassock, and give him various tasks, such as lighting the Altar candles.  The Wedding Sexton would get extra pay. One of the Wedding Sextons was J... S who would bustle around in his cassock, making sure that everything was ship shape and Bristol fashion. J.. S  had a habit of mangling the English language. At one wedding I could not locate the groom and his best man. I knew that they were in the building, but where? I sent J... S in search of them. He came back with the news that the men were almost ready for the ceremony to begin but   "they were putting on their  Buccaneers !" A wedding Buccaneer!

  My first cousin J.... lives in a Cemetery.  Her partner S..... works for the City of Bristol in the cemetery and crematory division . They live in the Gatehouse Cottage. It's a quiet place at night - with the feel of living in the countryside -  not at all spooky. J recently took this photo'  of the sunset being reflected off a black marble gravestone. Great shot!
