1904 Panoramic Photo' There are a number of Pittsfields in the USA; and there is the well known Pittsburgh. Each was named for William Pitt the younger; a British Political leader who championed American Independence. Pittsfield MA is the County Town of Berkshire County in Western Mass; a county which has borders with Connecticut, New York State, and Vermont. I cannot remember how the 1904 photo' came into my possession. It is most likely a copy of a copy or a copy of the original, hence it is somewhat faded. It is an early panoramic photo', taken in Park Square; where North/South/East and West Streets converge, The Park itself (foreground) looks barren in this photo' .
