Povey Prattle

It was created in the U.S,A in the 1930's, maybe earlier. It became popular in the 1950's, and was popular even as late as the 1970's when I moved to the U.S.  . "Old Faithful, Ever Reliable, Easy to Prepare".     Some families could count on eating it at least once a week.  Some children attained majority and vowed that they would never again eat it! Then it went out of fashion, for good or for ill. I resurrected the dish for this weekend's offering. Keep this to yourself.  Its our secret! This is what I made. Yes Siree.   I am not ashamed to tell  you.  It's Tuna Casserole! Pretty darn good Tuna Casserole according to my friends J and D and their daughter A.   Not yet dear friends. A few days ago I had an appointment with my good Dentist at 3:30 p.m. I set off in what I thought was adequate time;  forgetting that I'd be challenged by the "School Run":  -  High School students with their own cars; school buses; and parent drivers. I arrived with a minute to spare.  Ne'er mind; I had time enough to use the men's toilet. 'Twas then that I discovered that my fly front zipper was down. This was not the first time.  Indeed I have forgotten to zip up eight or more times in recent weeks. I need an App. which calls out "z ipper, zipper, zipper" as I leave my home. 

  (And I understand and respect those who get mad when we conflate those who are unable to vocalize with those who are stupid.)

  There are the lovely  Finger Lakes in New York State. There are Fingerling Potatoes There are my Fingers. uristsee I clipped my nails yesterday ( Sept 15th).  It wasn't until I was driving home from Bayfront Park this morning that I saw that I had failed to clip a nail on the index finger of my right hand.  I am not cut out to be a manicurist. But please go on line to see if I can buy a set of  smaller  fingers. My chubby ones are all but useless when it comes to writing a text message.  I am for ever touching the wrong key.   Old school as I am it pains me to send a text message with misspelled words, and no punctuation.    I have to come to terms with the fact that text messages are supposed to a brief  memo, not a college worthy essay. On the whole I like Fingerling spuds better than fat fingered text messages.

  Oct 15th 2021 A ghastly   DULL DAY   until I had an auto-call  from my Dentist, to remind me of an appointment on  February 30th 2022.  It made me so happy to get this timely reminder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Later in the day things got very exciting .   Joe Biden called me. He begged to send him my famous recipe  for  Rutabaga  and Rhubarb  Cobbler. Rutabagas  Rhubarb I told the President that before agreeing to send him the recipe I'd have to consult with my Astrologer.
