St. Boniface Church, Siesta Key FL Photo'

This is the most recent edition of the newsletter from the parish I attend, St. Boniface Church in Sarasota.

I am delighted to tell you that the photo' of the Church is one that I took last year when I had a helicopter joyride out of our local airport, with my nephew Sam and his buddy Toby. They were visiting me from Bristol, U.K.

My brother Martyn was also visiting me (Sam is his son), but he was visiting our friends Joe and Dee up in Massachusetts when we enjoyed our chopper ride,

Giving Tree This month we reach out to the teens in Sarasota's Guardian ad Litem program.  Because of abuse, neglect or abandonment by their families they must navigate the courts and possibly the foster care system.  By picking a Giving Tree tag and buying any - or all!! - of the items on the tag's wish list, you make one of these teen's lives a little brighter.  Tags are available in the church entry, Parish Hall or by clicking here.

Outreach Survey Spend a few minutes with the Grants Committee's survey and help direct our outreach funding.  Each year the Committee recommends several thousand dollars in grants to support worthy works locally and abroad.  They would like to know your interests and passions as they consider this year's grant proposals and recommendations.  Surveys are available in the church entry, the Parish Hall or by clicking here.

Church on the beach
Sand gathers between your toes at Church

On Saturday night, September 7th at 7:00 p.m. you may want to wear your sandals to church! St. Boniface's new Church on the Beach meets at the Yellow Guard Tower on Siesta Key Beach for informal worship and fellowship. All are welcome. Come as you are!

Every first Saturday night of the month, join friends new and old at Church on the Beach. Just about sunset, we gather for worship -- some simple songs, prayers, a brief homily, and maybe even a sandcastle or a walk in the surf.

It's a new way to worship in the beauty of God's creation. Enjoy the Number One Beach and thank the Lord.

Don't miss your first opportunity for Church on the Beach. Saturday, September 7th at 7:00 p.m.
