Am I stupid or what?

Adams has not returned. I hope that he is safe.

So I returned to the Humane Society today and adopted "Tuffy", an eight year female, to be company for Adelaide.

I have renamed her "Abigail" in honour of President John Adams' wife.

The two cats are sussing each other out, but apart from a bit of hissing from Adelaide, they seem to be intrigued with each other.

Adelaide seems to have needed a bit of extra TLC this afternoon. She's been a bit stand-offish with me.

(But all the literature and lore suggests that two cats do better than one. So I think that Addie will adjust with grace).

    Not stupid -- it could have happened to anyone. I, too, hope Adams is o.k. and will turn up safe eventually.

    I assume you've fixed the broken screen? Cats can be pretty resourceful and get out of even the smallest spaces if they want to.

    Two cats are definitely better than one, so I'm glad Adelaide has a new friend! I'm sure you will enjoy watching their antics as much as we enjoy our kitties. :)

Last year I consulted with a local podiatrist: Dr. Robert F Herbold Jr. D.P.M. 4717 Swift Rd., Sarasota , FL – 34231  because I was being bothered with a couple of bunions  (yes I am at that age). The background   I have known the Keller/Bonsey family since 2000 when I became the Rector at St. James's, Cambridge, MA. They (Elisabeth Keller and the Revd. Steven Bonsey with their four children Noah, Sam, Josiah and Annie) had come back to Cambridge from Hawaii where Steve had been the Rector of an Episcopal parish. Steve had just been appointed as a Chaplain at Tufts University (no Sunday morning duties) so the entire family was able to enrich our common life at St. James's - which they did with great love and joy. I count them as friends and have stayed in touch with them since my retirement.  Noah, the oldest son is eloquent in Arabic (he spent a year in Damascus when Syria was a safe place).  He has developed a super career as an analyst of social media in the near East.    Noah worked in Tampa for a while a few years ago, so he and I were able to get together a few

It began in Bristol U.K. "A man dies" and "Jesus Christ Superstar"
